About the Podcast: Sixty Plus Uncensored

Sixty Plus Uncensored is about the two biggest decisions of your sixties: what to do about the money, and what to do about the house. Those two questions sit underneath almost everything else that happens in this stretch of life, and most people end up making them with far less information than they deserve. Each week the show takes one of them apart in plain language, the way a friend who happens to know the industry would explain it to you rather than the way a brochure would. Episodes run 45 to 60 minutes, about the length of a good walk or a drive across town, and every one of them is built to leave you with something you can actually use. That is the heart of the Sixty Plus Uncensored podcast.

The topics follow the money and the house wherever they lead: what long term care actually costs and who ends up paying for it, the gaps in Medicare that catch families off guard at the worst possible moment, whether staying put or moving makes more financial sense, what downsizing really nets you once all the costs are counted, and how to talk about any of it with your family before a crisis forces the conversation.

Guests on Sixty Plus Uncensored

Most weeks the guests are the people who work these problems for a living: elder law attorneys, care managers, senior living directors, insurance and financial specialists, and the agents who help families move. They come on to explain how their corner of the world actually operates, including the parts that never make it into the marketing. You will also hear from people in their sixties, seventies, and eighties who have already been through a move, a diagnosis, or a hard family conversation, and who can tell you what they would do differently the second time around. The through line is always the same: real numbers, real tradeoffs, and enough context to make a decision you will still feel good about five years from now.
